The boat is located at Malapascua Exotic Island Dive & Beach Resort in Brgy Logon, Daanbantayan, Cebu, Philippines, 6013.
The boat is made of aluminium and was built in 1998 in New Zealand. It was originally made and designed for the Philippine coast guard as patrol boat. The boat is equiped with a Hamilton Jet Drive similar to the ones used in Fast Craft Ferries like Super Cat in the Philippines.
Designer was Robert Allan Ltd & Sensation Yachts Ltd., where it was build also. The boat has a length of 10.50m, beam of 3.10m.
Its equiped with a Catarpillar 3116 diesel engine with 320 bhp. The cruising speed is 2.0 knots while the maximum is about 30 knots. It has a seaworthiness operational of sea state 3 and a survival at sea state/ 5. It has a range of 200 nautical miles.
The boat was used until 2008 as inshore and riverway patrol service boat for pursuit, surveillance and communication capabilities.

Two engines. Is it possible to install outboard auxiliary one ? answer: Yes its very much possible to put an extra outboard. It will need only a little modification just beside the jet.But not needed actually. And anyway...the Catarpillar engine of our boat is really a good and reliable one. Just imagine where the boat was built and the purpose the boat was built for. This is not any cheap stuff. We never had any problems with it.I would rather focuson the caterpillar engine and keep it in proper condition.
Is it possible to travel with that boat from Malapascua to Boracay ? answer: Yes it is. When we bought the boat in Manila, we travelled with it all the way down south to Malapascua And we had no problem at all. We had a check-up right after it. No damage, no problem. The distance to Boracay is much nearer than Manila to Malapascua.
Can you tell me about conditions of the boat ? answer: The boat is in a excellent running condition. In 2011 the boat was in a dry dock for a longer time. All paint was removed and we used a new professional "Jutun Marine Paint System".
When did you buy it in Manila ? answer:We bought it end off 2009 in Manila
Did you do any major repair works ? answer: After repainting, we installed a "Teleflex Seastar Inboard Steering System" and alsoinstalled 2 Marine seats.
Did you make any major engine repair ? answer: We installed a new original Alternator worth PHP 90,000. We also changed the exhaust marine manifold for PHP 181,000. This is a very important part and its a good thing that it is in a new condition now. We still have the bills for this.
What is the engine status right now ? answer: Its in top condition, recently tuned up by a Caterpillar Marine mechanic.Including compression test, valve adjustment, timing control, cleaning all filters and coolers. We also only used Caterpillar oil and coolant. All anode were changed also.The boat comes with spare parts like salt water impeller, many anode, filter and gaskets. Also we have parts book and general manual. Including manual for the Hamilton Jet.
What is the estimated service time ? answer: Most inportant are the anode and the coolers. For the rest, we recommend normal service intervals. same as for any marine diesel engine.
Does Catarpillar have a service in the Philippines ? answer: You can get a proper service in the Philippines.
